This Scholarship was established in recognition of the long standing professional relationship between Professor Tony Angelo, of the Victoria University Law Faculty, and the countries of the South Pacific. In particular his close involvement with the development of academic legal studies at the University of the South Pacific and the long standing commitment to the Victoria University Law Faculty to the South Pacific.The Scholarship will also be awarded to a third or fourth year student of the Victoria University Law Faculty who wishes to enroll for a trimester at the Law Faculty of the South Pacific. The value of the Scholarship would cover a return, economy class airfare to the University of the South Pacific. This award may be made in the same year as the award above.
The Scholarship is tenable to a graduate of the Law Faculty at of the University of the South Pacific in Port Villa, with a first class academic record, who plans to undertake a Master’s degree at the Victoria University Law Faculty, either by thesis or by course work. The application must be made within 12 months following completion of the undergraduate degree and the applicant should be planning on a legal career in academic service, or in government or community service.
