The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization is an international focused research institute. It performs both experimental and theoretical basic research and occupies about 250 people. At the department Dynamics of Complex Fluids headed by Prof. Dr. Stephan Herminghaus we offer Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Positions in the field of condensed-matter and statistical physics.

We seek highly motivated and outstanding candidates interested in theoretical questions about the dynamics of liquids out of equilibrium. -Our group focuses on computational methods such as molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations. They will join an active group involved in international collaborations. Computational facilities, travel funds, and interaction with experimentalists will be available. – The successful candidates will develop and apply computational methods for atomistic and mesoscopic systems.
