The successful candidate shall use molecular markers for mapping of genes/QTLs introgressed from wild species. Roles and responsibilities – Responsible for molecular analysis of mapping populations derived from wide crosses of rice and characterization of alien cytogenetic stocks – Create data base of molecular profile for alien introgression lines – Assist in using genomic DNA and other probes in in-situ hybridization – Perform all other duties that may be assigned related to varietal improvement program

– BS degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Biology or any related discipline – At least 2 years experience in molecular markers – Good in English and Filipino
