In a society with a 13% illiteracy rate it should come as no surprise that the Foundation’s greatest contribution has been in the area of education. Over the past three decades, the Foundation has invested some US$1 million in funding scholarships to the University of the West Indies and the University of Technology, as well as in the provision of bursaries for children of GraceKennedy employees for their secondary and tertiary education.The scholarship will be open to all undergraduate applicants who have met the entry requirements of the University of Technology and the Faculty to which they request admission.The scholarship will be open to all undergraduate applicants who have met the entry requirements of the University of Technology and the Faculty to which they request admission.The scholarship is for tuition only for a maximum period of four (4) consecutive years. 4.3 The award is subject to an annual review of your academic performance, conduct and participation in social/community activities.

The applicant should: -Be a Jamaican citizen or have resided in Jamaica for at least three (3) years prior to the date of the application -Not be older than 25 years of age on his/her next birthday -Have completed the application for admission as a fulltime student to the University of Technology and, at the time of interview, have been accepted for entry -Be a person of good character, displaying leadership qualities and consistent involvement in social/community activities -Have produced a certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner showing that he/she is medically fit to hold such a scholarship
