Metso Minerals (Australia) Ltd.  in conjunction with Curtin University offers scholarship for Mechanical Engineers to pursue undergraduate degree level in mechanical engineering at Curtin University in Australia. The students of Australia and New Zealand can apply for this scholarship. The application deadline is 18th March 2013.. Who can apply to this scholarship? Candidates must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for the Metso Mining Scholarship for Mechanical Engineers:
· Have a minimum course weighted average of 60
· Be enrolled in the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) Degree and plan to enrol in the third year of the same degree in semester 1, 2013
· Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or the holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian or Permanent Resident visa
· Be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place
Benefits of the scholarship: The scholarship offered to 3rd year engineering students will provide a cash payment of $8,000 per year for the normal remaining expected duration of the undergraduate degree (based on full time enrollment). -Continuation to the 4th year is subject to the meeting of all of the Terms & Conditions at the end of 3rd year to assist with costs associated with studying (fees, textbooks, incidental expenses etc).
