The IMPRS “From Molecules to Organisms” is an international PhD program offered jointly by the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the Eberhard Karls University in Tuebingen, Germany. Students highly motivated about research should have or be about to obtain an excellent University degree (at Masters or German diploma level) in the life sciences or a related discipline. Doctoral students benefit from regular workshops and supervising tutors at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the University of Tübingen. The school’s aim is to endow scientists to study complex biological processes. The program of the school is challenging and innovative because it bridges not only diverse disciplines but also spans several levels of biological organization (from molecules to organisms). The language of all lectures at the IMPRS is English.. Who can apply to this scholarship?
· Applicants must hold, or expect to hold, a degree in natural or computer science from a Diplom, Masters or equivalent 4
· year program.
· Students current skills and knowledge should match well to those relevant to your proposed area of doctoral research.
· Students from Bachelor courses at German universities should only apply if they can demonstrate extensive research experience and outstanding grades (graduating within the top 10% of their class).
