The John De Laeter Scholarship is intended for high school students planning to study an eligible mathematics or sciences undergraduate degree at Curtin University. Emeritus Professor John de Laeter is Emeritus Professor of Physics at the Curtin University Department of Imaging and Applied Physics. Professor John de Laeter was the founding head of Applied Physics at Curtin in the 1960’s and is one of Western Australia’s most distinguished Scholars.

Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for a John De Laeter Scholarship: Completed Year 12 in 2012 : -Have selected Curtin University as a first preference through TISC to undertake an eligible undergraduate science degree. -Be undertaking the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in semester 1, 2013. -Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or the holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian or Permanent Resident visa. -Be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place.
