Materials Science/Nanotechnology: KESS PhD Studentship at Swansea University in UK, 2015-2016

These scholarships may potentially be funded by the European Social Fund by a KESS 2 programme currently in development – however, this is yet to be confirmed. If this is not funded by a KESS 2 project these scholarships will be funded by the appropriate College at Swansea University. Applications are invited for a PhD studentship exploring the following theme: Surface Enhanced Ellipsometric Contrast Microscopy (SEEC): a Novel Tool for the Estimation of Thickness of Graphene-Based and other 2-D Type Nanomaterials.  This scholarship provides 3 years funding with a 6 month period to complete the thesis. The achievement of a postgraduate skills development award (PSDA), is compulsory for each KESS 2 scholar and is based on a 60 credit award.
