The fellowship is allocated to the Social Pharmacy group and the project “Drug use among Immigrant patients in Norway”. Previous research has shown that certain immigrant groups have high prevalence of life style diseases, extensive drug use, and many challenges in this regard. This can be caused by linguistic as well as other cultural barriers (Håkonsen and Toverud (2011). Candidates for these fellowships will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to academic credentials. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
