University of Copenhagen is offering a PhD fellowship commencing 1 March 2012 or soon thereafter. The application deadline is 6 January 2012. MCPA is a widely used herbicide in agriculture, home gardens, golf courses etc. It is mainly degraded by biological processes and a range of MCPA-degrading microorganisms have been described. Despite this, concentrations above the EU limit for drinking water of 0.1 µg/L are frequently detected in ground water resources.
