The PhD project is part of ongoing research on model-based decision support at the Institute for Management Research (IMR) at Radboud University Nijmegen. The aim of the project is to test the assumptions that models improve understanding of complex, unstructured problems and support negotiation on how to intervene. You will be tasked with the following: designing and conducting research and interventions, providing training in relation to the research project and a limited amount of teaching. We expect you to present your research at international conferences and to publish results in renowned scientific journals. The research should result in a PhD thesis. You should have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a field related to the IMR disciplines mentioned below, preferably in model-based decision support. A successfully completed Research Master’s degree programme and demonstrable experience in scientific research and decision support is highly desirable.
