You are a researcher involved in the design, synthesis and / or validation of new contrast agents. The structured process of the research results should lead to publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Based on the obtained results take part in national and international conferences by presenting the data by means of posters and oral presentations. The postdoc we are looking preferably has a background in organic chemistry and / or supramolecular chemistry. Depending on the background and needs of the candidate, the focus of the project more on the chemical evolution of the evaluation of new contrast agents come to lie; any clinical work can also be part of the project. For all candidates extends demonstrable interest in molecular imaging, and image-guided surgery to the recommendation. It is the candidates expected in a team developing and evaluating new contrast agents (there are a total of 8 people with complementary backgrounds working in this topic). The research will be conducted on the chemical and biological labs of the group. In addition, all microscopic and preclinical imaging facilities of the LUMC are available for use.
