Postdoctoral Position on Application Protocol Programming at the Federal University of ABC, Brazil

The Federal University of ABC(UFABC) in São Paulo, Brazil, seeks applications for a post-doctoral position on *Application Protocol Programming*, starting in from March 2012. The position is in the context of the CyberOPC Project, and will involve the design, implementation and evaluation of novel application protocols and methods for low latency data delivery in monitoring over IP networks.

The candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science or Informatics Engineering and solid background in one or more of the following fields: OPC, Client/Server Socket Programming, SPDY and SCTP Protocol, C#, C++, JSON-RPC, BSON, XDR, RPC and streaming algorithms. Knowledge of English is also required. Proficiency in English and socket programming in C# or C++ are expected. Strong system skills as well as experience with real-life deployments are a plus.
