The candidate will contribute to various research projects of the CML-IE Department. These will be, for the most part, EU-funded projects where the abovementioned models are applied and modified. Projects the candidate will be employed in are the FP7 project I-DREEM on sustainable aquaculture, and DESIRE on developing indicators for resource efficiency. Tasks will be agreed on, based on the specific interest and expertise of the candidates, but will include collection, processing, and analysis of data. Application of relevant tools in one or more of these projects is also part of the task. A description of the various research projects can be obtained on request. For these projects, CML-IE is looking for a recently graduated or postdoc reseacher in the field of industrial ecology. The researcher should have a general knowledge of the main methods and tools of the Industrial Ecology field. More specific expertise in one or more of these tools is a recommendation. The candidate should be skilled in computer programming and/or relational databases and/or the use of standard software for the methods and tools mentioned above. The candidate should be able to work in a dynamic, multi-project context: distributing his or her attention among the various projects and tasks, keeping an eye to deadlines and deliverables, taking initiatives and contacting partners. The international character of the work necessitates good command of English, passive and active, written and spoken. Command of Dutch is an advantage.
