Applications are invited for postgraduate scholarship funded by Norwegian Research Council to study at University of Sussex. Students who have accepted a place or hold a firm offer in MA in Migration Studies, MA in Human Rights, MA in Anthropology, MA in Anthropology of Development and Social Transformation. The award includes EU fees, paid directly (worth £5,775) in the form of a fee waiver and a further £2,775 paid over 10 months. The application deadline is 22 August 2014.. This scholarship is funded through a grant from the Norwegian Research Council. It is part of a project called ‘Negotiating the Nation: Implications of ethnic and religious diversity for national identity’ that is coordinated by the Peace Research Institute in Oslo (PRIO). The successful applicant will work on a project on mosque construction in the UK. The project will last most of the year and the successful candidate would be encouraged to use it as the basis for their graduate thesis. Similar projects would take place in Norway and France under the project and there may be possibility for international coordination.. Scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate taught programme.
