The Tasmanian Early Years Foundation was established by the Tasmanian Government in 2005 to support and promote the development and learning of children up to the age of six. These scholarships will help further research into the early years of life. Up to two awards are available.
– Available to students in the Faculty of Education or in the Social Work program in the School of Sociology and Social Work. – Who are undertaking a postgraduate education degree (masters or PhD) incorporating research into the field of children’s early learning and development and/or research into the development and education of early years professionals in Tasmania. – Preference will be given to action research or research with a practical and reflective focus. – In addition applicants should have a strong academic background. – Evidence of success in teaching. – Other relevant experiences in contributing to children’s learning and development. – A commitment to continuing your involvement in the sector. – Solid references and a resolve to complete a masters degree within 3 years and/or a PhD award within 5 years.
