The Barrick Scholarships have been developed by Barrick Australia Pacific Ltd. in conjunction with Curtin University to encourage and support students who have chosen study Mining or Metallurgical Engineering at Curtin University.The scholarship will provide a cash payment of $2,000 to assist with costs associated with studying (textbooks, incidental expenses etc).

Candidates must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for a Barrick 2nd Year Scholarship: •Have a CWA of 75 or above •Be in the second year in 2012 at Curtin University a place in an eligible undergraduate engineering degree •Not currently hold any other company/business scholarship •Be an Australian or the holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian or Permanent Resident visa •be eligible for a commonwealth supported place
